very interesting to get others views on jw matters.

very quick background.

that was a well prepared argument you presented there. Sadly most witnesses wont get past the opening paragraph because they will shut off their minds at the thought of reading something from an apostate.

is it killing 70000 innocent israelites because the king david does a counting of the people?

(it is hard to keep the numbers right if the fluctuate so much).

when the generation teaching was ditched, along with several other interpretations of matthew and luke, i started to doubt big time.. when the new teaching on the sheep and goats came out i was no longer convinced.

any fool could see that if the son of man had not yet arrived, it negated the gb interpretation of themselves as the faithful steward.. but no!!!.

new light showed that christ arrives at different times for different purposes.

Tuesday I am sooo, glad that you posted this issue. I have been looking to post it for some time, but since quotes went down y'no. But this was the straw that broke my back. I remember going over this lesson and thinking 'awright we got 30 years to go in this system and I have no retirement or pension plan. Then the capper was at the hall the day the lesson was studied, I ask one of my MS friends did he pick up on the 30 years left in this system thang and he missed it. WTF?!? Then when I explained it to him he says 'oh thats not what they ment'. If thats not what they ment then why make the comparison.

12/15/03 WT study article comparing noah's day to ours (man I could use quotes.com now.) Some 90 years have past since 1914. Left the reader to speculate that since noah preached for 120 years before the flood came, we still have 30 left in this system. I am goin to make an effort to find that quote and post it.

WHAT'S NEW? DOORSTEP BIBLE STUDIES!

so i'm in service this morning and the young sister i was working with had what they call now a "doorstep bible study" .

its been encouraged by the fds that if one has a regular return visit with an interested one that one can hold a bible study by having them read one or two paragraphs out of the require brochure and ask the questions right at their doorstep.. i've never actually seen it done and boy let me tell you it was the most awkard, ridiculous thing i have ever seen!

the poor sister (who was nothing older thatn 15) is standing at the door having this grown woman read a paragraph out of the require brochure, and after having her ansewring the question and read a scripture she then then tells her she'll see her next week!

What I love about such a tactic as this. The R&F just eat it up. "Oh we are so near the end, a 15 min bible study, is anough to change/mess up someones life."

Doesn't it seem like the Borganization uses or refers to the Holy Spirit akin to The current Veep's function. Someone gets out of line within the party/Borg, sic Dick on them. In control of the Senant/writing dept. to make sure the right word gets out to the electorate/R&F. And is adament for torture to get what he wants. You not going to the meetings. Bam! threatned with removal of Holy spirit. Field service time not up to par. Boom! No Holy spirit for you. Have a differing opinion on something, did some extra research on your own. Wham! Holy spirit will take away your "privliges".

So what do you guy's think? Who's goin to join me in hell?

"body you" is very smart about a few, simple things.

this is how you want it because "body you" is kind of a moron.. fact 2: all living things have two primary desires: to stay alive, and to have offspring.. this is a basic, defining biological fact.

of course "brain you" doesnt think, "i want to talk to that cute boy because i want to procreate", but "body you" is!
